HistorySaid is an independent data project. All data is sourced from official institutions: World Bank, IMF, Federal Reserve (FRED), BIS, ECB, and OECD. We do not produce original data. We organize, contextualize, and detect historical patterns in publicly available datasets.
The site covers G20 economies with over 100 economic indicators spanning 1960 to present, plus commodity prices, exchange rates, and financial market data. Every number shown is traceable to its original source.
Our pattern detection algorithm identifies historical parallels – moments when a country's economic profile closely matches a previous situation in another country. These patterns are descriptive, not prescriptive. Past outcomes do not guarantee future results.
